He passes on his shield to Sam Wilson, indicating that he will be the new Captain America.

With the threat of Thanos eliminated and the universe restored, the surviving heroes, including Thor, Hulk, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, part ways, going their separate paths. The film concludes with Steve Rogers sharing a dance with Peggy Carter, symbolizing his long-awaited reunion and a satisfying end to his journey as Captain America.
